Opening Day of Summer 2013!

Shandaken came alive this week as our campers were finally gathered as one, here at Timber Lake Camp!

The crowd was alive with fist pumps and high fives, bear hugs and hand jives – new and old friends smiled ear to ear in anticipation of the best summer yet. Counselors and staff watched as Timber Lake went from the early morning hours of setting the scene, to becoming the main attraction full of life!

After our campers settled in to their bunks and caught-up with their bunk mates, our campers made their way to the Dining Hall to enjoy our first dinner of the summer together. We chowed down on hamburgers and cheeseburgers with all the fixings, onion rings and french fries! Some campers dined from the new salad bar, enjoying hummus and some of the “best salads they’ve ever had!”

First time campers were later welcomed into the Timber Lake family during our 2013 Opening Ceremonies, by returning campers and counselors, as they shared their Timber Lake Camp experiences.

We’re beaming and oh so glad to be back at camp with the hustling & bustling of good ‘ol Timber Lake camp energy!
