Questions for Camper: Jacqueline (“Q”)
Hi I’m Jacqueline, but my nickname is “Q.” I am 8 years old, finishing 2nd grade, and last year was my first summer as a freshman at camp. I was the youngest camper, so I am going to be a freshman for 3 years instead of 2. Being the youngest didn’t even matter to me because I had so much fun with my new friends! During the summer I wasn’t homesick, and I didn’t even cry once because camp was too much fun. At home I do tons of activities. My favorites are soccer, gymnastics, and dance. I enjoy sleepovers with friends, traveling with family, and creating art. When I miss camp I like to video chat with my camp friends. I can’t believe that camp is almost here – I am so excited!
1) What is the number #1 thing you love most about camp?
Camp is the best place in the world! My favorite activity is boating. I also really love swimming to the water trampoline, water mat, and water slide.
2) What was the funniest thing that happened to you at camp?
One of my funniest memories from last summer was during morning cleanup. My friends picked me up and put me in the towel basket and they dragged me all the way up the hill to laundry! I was laughing the entire time!
3) What is your favorite memory from last summer?
My absolute favorite memory was experiencing the fun and craziness of Marathon. I loved competing with my friends. During the Apache Relay, I was so lucky to have such a fun activity: two older campers gave me piggyback rides across camp. The cheering was loud and the spirit was unforgettable!
4) Describe camp using only 3 words:
My second home.
5) What are you most looking forward to doing this summer?
I am excited to see my old friends from last year, and making lots of new friends this year.
