Sign-up Now for Our Final Rookie Day ~ July 27th!
What an amazing time we had this past weekend during our 1st Rookie Day of the summer! Although the day began with a little drizzle, our spirits were bright & sunny!
Perspective campers joined us for a day filled with camp activities and experienced first-hand what we’re all about! Our current campers were excited to see who their new friends would be, and we showed them all the fun things we get to do here every day by having them participate in our athletic clinics, games, electives and swim periods, giving them a chance to truly experience what it’s like to be a Timber Lake Camper. Meanwhile, parents stayed behind with our Directors, Mindy & Jay, and took a tour of camp which was followed by a Q & A session. After that, off the parents went for lunch to allow our perspective campers the time to enjoy all that Timber Lake has to offer!
Recently, Justin Mayer, Director of our sister camp at Timber Lake West, was quoted in a New York Family article about the importance of visiting summer camps while camp is in session. “We’ve heard parents comment that ‘all camps are alike,’ but camp is about more than the basketball courts, baseball fields, swimming pools, and other facilities. Choosing the right camp for your child is about the feeling you get when you’re touring it. Do you see your child fitting in here? Do you feel the warmth, spirit, and traditions? Do you feel comfortable with the directors and staff who will be taking care of your most prized possession—your child? This is why touring is so important for families.”
So, if you’re considering Timber Lake Camp for next summer, now is the time to register for our final Rookie Day on Saturday, July 27th. You can download the registration form and get more information here. Space is limited, so register early!
